M&M Sorting Activity

Seniors living with Alzheimer’s and dementia often feel disoriented. Understandably, disorientation can lead to anxiety. How can you reduce those feelings of anxiety in your loved one?
We love conducting ‘sorting’ activities with our residents. This exercise works threefold: by using objects that are familiar (in this case, M&Ms) and using a clear sorting method (color), we create an activity that’s engaging AND relaxing. Just see the focus on our residents’ faces!
