We are excited to announce that Vineyard Henderson will be hosting free Virtual Dementia Tours each month. RSVP is required. The tours will take place from 10am-12pm, on the last Tuesday of every month.
What is a Virtual Dementia Tour?

The Virtual Dementia Tour is a hands-on, experiential tool kit created for anyone seeking to understand the physical and mental challenges of those suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia. The tour allows you to experience what it’s like to be suffering from dementia. It’s not only a communication tool but a resource designed to let you understand what a loved one with dementia might be feeling like at any point in time. As such, it is intended to help you improve communication and understanding by giving you the experience of dementia.
During a Virtual Dementia Tour experience, trained facilitators guide participants outfitted with devices that alter their senses while they try to complete common everyday tasks and exercises.

The Goal of Vineyard’s Virtual Dementia Tours
Beyond just understanding what it feels like to live every day with the debilitating effects of dementia, we want to open the doors of Vineyard Henderson to the community to understand the importance of memory care. The Tour enables caregivers, or anyone else, to experience for themselves the physical and mental challenges those with dementia face via virtual simulation training.
