2022 is flying by – we can’t believe that it’s already March! This winter has been an exciting time for the Vineyard Johns Creek Tribe. We’ve had a great month exploring the Johns Creek area, highlighting local hotspots and watching our Vineyard Community come to life. We can’t wait to show you all the progress over the next few months and to welcome residents into our community!

In the meantime, we’ll show you what’s planned and what we’ve been up to.

February Happenings

Alzheimer’s Music Fest – Feb. 4

The Vineyard Johns Creek Tribe had a fantastic time at the Alzheimer’s Music Fest on Friday, Feb 4! The benefit concert featured legendary Georgia bands — Cracker, Arrested Development, and Drivin N Cryin.

As event sponsors, it was great to kick back and relax with great music all while raising funds for families living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. A huge thanks to the Dementia Spotlight Foundation for hosting!

Tribe Spotlight: Chef Aldin

Vineyard Tribe

Last month, we highlighted one of our favorite parts of the Vineyard experience – our fabulous meals prepared by our Culinary Services Director Aldin Lenjinac!

Chef Aldin has years of experience in restaurants and senior living communities. He’s passionate about making dining a memorable experience, from a cup of coffee to a three-course meal. Chef Aldin believes it isn’t just about the ingredients – it’s about preparing happiness in the form of tasty food.

“I’m honored to be part of the talented team at Vineyard Johns Creek, and grateful for the opportunity to ensure that we provide great service and flavorful food. In our Savor restaurant we will provide nutritious food created with the best available ingredients to please any palate,” he said.

Right now, Chef Aldin is working with our team to create menus to serve to our future residents. Thank you for all that you do, Chef Aldin!

Social Connection Tips

As we head out of winter and into spring, it’s important to revisit those social connections and make new memories this spring.

Socializing is critical for physical and mental wellness, no matter your stage of life. Social connections are an important part of our Vineyard programming. From daily activities with other residents to connections with our friendly Tribe, we make socialization a priority. It’s especially important for seniors to create relationships with people of all ages to improve wellbeing.

How can you encourage your loved one to pursue more multigenerational friendships? We share our best tips in our most recent blog post.

If you or your loved one is struggling with social connections, we would love to hear from you. From our Tribe to yours, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
