We’re switching focuses with our Vineyard Henderson newsletters! For our August newsletter, in addition to providing a round-up of the previous month and our partnerships, we’re also highlighting upcoming events. With our property opening date right around the corner, we have more and more community events on the roster. We’re so thrilled to offer valuable seminars, mixers, and learning opportunities for Henderson residents!

Fundraising FriYAYs! – Every Friday
Every Friday 9am-5pm, from August to October, we’ll be hosting Fundraising FriYAYs at Vineyard Henderson! Through this initiative, community members can come into the Vineyard Leasing Office and purchase a variety of unique local homemade products, including but not limited to; themed baskets, goodie bags, crafts, and homemade baked goods. We have packages for every price range from $10 and up!
All proceeds raised go to Alzheimers and Parkinson’s organizations and charities, two causes very important to Vineyard Henderson and memory care in general.

Lunch & Learn – August 14
Come have lunch with the Vineyard Tribe on Wednesday, August 14th and learn about financial wellness. We’ll be focused on financial management best practices and planning for the future, for community members of all ages.

Vineyard Gives Homeless Drop-Off & Collection Day – July 18th
As a part of our partnership with the Las Vegas Rescue Mission for the Vineyard Gives Homelessness Initiative, we collect all of our monthly donations on the third Sunday of each month. We would love help from the community to organize and package donations to get ready for the Mission to pick up!
- Sunday, August 18th, 10am-11am at the Leasing Office
Please feel free to drop off donations at any point this month, and/or help us with our collection on Sunday! Here are the most needed items during this hot summer season:
- Sunscreens
- Hospitality soaps
- Lip balms
- Bottled water
Henderson Chamber of Commerce Connect Business Expo – August 22
We are a proud sponsor of the HCC’s Connect start tank, expo, and mixer. With more than 3,000 community members expected to attend, and 100+ exhibitors, it’s a can’t miss local event.

Virtual Dementia Tour – August 27
Our monthly Virtual Dementia Tours will be on Tuesday, August 27th. Come take this free interactive session to understand the unique challenges faced by those living with dementia. We have limited spots available, and they fill up every month, so be sure to sign up ASAP!

Vineyard Support Group – August 29
One of the events we’re most excited to host is our monthly Vineyard Support Group for families affected by dementia or Alzheimers. Traditionally, support groups only include caregivers and family members, but not the person suffering from dementia or Alzheimers. At Vineyard, we foster an inclusive and welcoming environment. Our support group is open to caregivers, family members, and those with memory-related conditions.
We’re also happy to announce that we’ve partnered with both UNLV and Touro University. LCSW and OT department students will join us to offer their expertise, help moderate the session, and engage with members of the support group.
In addition, our dear partners from Carrying on the Legacy of Frank Perone, have generously donated customized Dementia Care Packages for each individual in attendance for August’s session. (Learn more about their cause below).
Please note, because of the unique experience offered by the Vineyard Support Group, as well as keeping the session intimate and productive, we have a limited number of spots available.

July Happenings
Welcome to the Tribe Victoria!
This month, we welcomed Victoria Smith to our Vineyard Tribe as our new Community Relations Director! Victoria has over 20 years of marketing and sales experience, with a strong focus on senior living.

Carrying on the Legacy of Frank Perrone
The local family of Frank Perrone has made it their mission to spread the word about dementia awareness throughout Henderson to honor the late, great father and grandfather, Frank Perrone. Frank was a Henderson fixture, a crossing guard at Howard Wasden elementary school and a helper to the UNLV hockey team, which his grandson coached.
We’re so honored to partner with them and thrilled to accept their Dementia Care Packages for our upcoming Fundraiser FriYAYs. Learn more about their mission here.
Community Lifters Volunteer Event
Our Vineyard Tribe participated in a local outreach event on Saturday, July 21st, together with community partners Three Square and Community Lifters, we collected 500 filled backpacks for children headed back to school and 30,000 pounds of food for families in need.
